Fort Tarsa
Castle guarding the pass of The Spine, in the center of Cirda.
Description
The castle stands at the highest point of the pass, between two peaks. It is an enclosure of gray stone with a crenellated wall and two towers, one taller than the other. The road runs at the foot of its walls. To the west it goes down into the valley of the Almiar River, crosses it by a stone bridge and reaches Marena. To the east it goes down to Sirta and the Sirta Plains.
Whoever holds the castle holds the only pass between the two halves of Cirda. Everything that crosses, be it salt, timber or fish, passes before its guard.
Garrison
The Kingdom of Vesperia holds the castle. It is the crown’s position of power on Cirda and the point from which it limits the influence of Marena. The soldiers who stand guard at the castle pass through Sirta.
